Local Hit: N.C. State Fair

One of the best treasures of North Carolina is the N.C. State Fair that takes place every fall during the month of October. Before you run out of time, be sure to travel right up the road to Raleigh to check out the fair full of rides, food and entertainment of all sorts.

You have until this Sunday, Oct. 24 to ride the roller coasters, eat fried food (including new foods like deep fried chocolate pie) and see other exhibits and attractions such as the rodeo and animal farm. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience some cheap and fun entertainment that’s great for all ages!

  • Cost: $8 for admission at the gate
  • Tickets for rides are $1 (most rides range between four and five tickets to ride)
  • Hours: 8 a.m. to midnight daily
